Daddy here. Jake is getting closer and closer to saying goodbye to St Joe's. I can't believe how fast it's gone. No time for reflection in this post though, as we have to cover the totally awesome 8th Grade trip! As is becoming tradition, I went along for the journey. As luck would have it, they needed one more chaperone, so I signed up and got to ride down with Mrs. Sterlie (spoiler alert: She did not kill Osama bin Laden).
We went to this totally awesome water park just outside of Sacramento. Can't remember the name but we loved it. When we first got there, the structure area wasn't open yet so they let us just splash around.
After a bit of that fun, they opened up the structure part and bounced and tried our best to stay standing up. We failed a lot, but it was super fun. Mr. Chapman and I stuck together and we did a pretty good job navigating the obstacles, for a couple of old dudes. We concluded the structure part by jumping off the tower in the center about 45 times. After that, it was onto the wake board part of the park.

We all tried and failed lots and lots of times. Zack got up for a bit ,but he crashed too. Mr Chapman and I kept trying with you guys, but almost all of us wiped out within about 2 seconds. After about 30 mins of that nonsense, most of the kids moved back to the structure park, but not Jake. My man was determined to make it up on the board! Seriously, like 20 times later, this happened.....
And still, he didn't give up! He went for it until they shut it down. I'm so proud of your determination dude. You are amazing! We had some pizza, took a few pics and called the water park good.
We headed off to our next venue, which was a campground with cabins for us. I got to share a cabin with Jake and Rudy. It was pretty nice.
